Yamanashi YMCA Wins Short Video Award

A video showcasing the campground development efforts of Yamanashi YMCA in Nirasaki City has been awarded the grand prize in the Asia Pacific Area Short Video Competition.

Submitted by Tomoyuki Ozawa of the Y’s Men’s Club of Kofu 21, the video captures the spirit behind this community initiative, bringing the YMCA’s mission of “FOR ALL” to life through the development of outdoor spaces that welcome all ages and backgrounds.

Founded in 1946, Yamanashi YMCA has grown into a vibrant organisation offering a wide range of youth, outdoor, and community programmes – from camps to peace-building and social services. This award-winning video aligns perfectly with their long-standing commitment to youth empowerment, inclusivity, and community development.

Congratulations to Yamanashi YMCA and the Kofu 21 club for this well-deserved recognition – and thank you to everyone who helped amplify this inspiring story across the Asia Pacific Area.
