This edition marks a new beginning.
YMI World, the official digital publication of Y’s Men International, will now be published monthly, replacing the previous stand-alone IP News bulletin. This change brings everything into one place – leadership messages, global updates, Area news, and club highlights – making it easier to follow the pulse of the movement as it happens.
In this issue:
- New International President Edward Ong sets the tone for the year ahead with a call for humble servant leadership. He invites us to lead not through authority, but by empowering others – with faith, love, and action.
- Immediate Past IP A. Shanavaskhan reflects on a transformative year: 125 new clubs, 10 new countries, a 10.2% rise in membership, and a powerful spirit of renewal that culminated in historic moments like a papal audience at the Vatican.
- IHQ News recaps recent conventions, extension milestones, Building Fellowship reports from Korea and Peru, and highlights from Time of Fast projects in India and the US.
Other stories include:
- Bold environmental advocacy from Korea, where the Incheon Region is championing the preservation of tidal flats as World Natural Heritage sites.
- A roundup of Area and Regional conventions from Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and India – each highlighting the unity, energy, and leadership transition across the globe.
- Reflections on simplicity and gratitude, and a summer-ready Japanese recipe from PAP Keiko Tonegawa.
We invite you to help shape upcoming editions. Whether it’s a story of service, an inspiring local initiative, or a moment of personal transformation – your story matters.
Contributions for the next issue of YMI World are due by 15 July 2025.
Let’s keep writing this story, together.
