2022 International Convention Cancelled

It is with much regret that the IC2022 Host Committee announces that the Y’s Men International Convention and International Youth Convocation scheduled for August 2022 in Honolulu, Hawai’i are cancelled. There will be no alternate dates.

Due to ongoing uncertainty across the globe created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Host Committee has established that it is not able to confidently plan and present a world-class event that will allow all-inclusive participation by our diverse YMI membership. Alternative options for an international convention in Hawai’i for 2023 or 2024 were suggested and considered, but not deemed possible to accept at this time. It is now confirmed that the 2024 International Convention will be held in Bangalore, India.

The Host Committee wishes to thank everyone, all of whom volunteered their time, to work for many months, and even years, on a plan for IC2022 which would be a memorable experience for all participants. The US Area and Hawai’i Region are especially acknowledged for their diligent efforts to offer this event.

Celebrations for the 100th anniversary of our Y’s Men International movement will still take place in our various Areas and Regions as planned through the Centenary Committee, with an international centennial celebration event hosted in Taiwan from 15-17 November 2022.
