Jeju Clubs Supporting COVID-19 Frontline

Club members of Korea Jeju Region have been working to support and show meaningful appreciation to the medical staff on the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus. The Regional Director, Hong Kyoung-hee, reported that hallabong citrus fruit (produced in Jeju) were sent to 8 health centers in Daegu to encourage the medical staff to devote themselves to the treatment of the infection.

Other acts of generosity and kindness typify the spirit of our club members on the island. On 7 April, 13 members from the Jeju Dasom club donated blood after hearing the news that blood stocks were low because people had been afraid to donate blood because of fears of COVID-19 exposure.

Earlier, on 19 March, the Cheju Paek Rok club delivered 1 million won (CHF 790 / US$810) to the Jeju branch of the Korean National Red Cross to support their relief efforts.
