This December edition of YMI World brings together stories of service, fellowship, and heritage as our movement enters the final month of 2025. As Christmas approaches and the midterm for 2025/26 draws to a close, clubs across the Areas reflect on their impact while preparing for the months ahead.
This month’s cover story highlights a beloved Danish tradition: the Y’s Men’s Christmas Calendar. Now in its 48th year, around 30,000 calendars are distributed nationwide, raising significant funds for humanitarian work and youth organisations. Designed once again by illustrator Rasmus Sand Højer, the calendar blends humour, colour, and community spirit, reminding us how deeply rooted acts of generosity are within our movement.
Inside this issue, you’ll also find two key themes for December: International Brother Clubs (IBC) and Christian Emphasis. Together they invite us to look beyond ourselves – building friendship across borders, encouraging mutual support, and grounding our service in compassion and shared values.
Elsewhere in this edition, you’ll discover:
- Insight from the International President on strengthening programme support and responding to global needs
- Updates from IHQ on international elections, Founder’s Day, new club development, and the 100 Days Membership Campaign
- Area reports highlighting service projects, environmental action, youth engagement, and community outreach
- A reflection on the legacy of Judge Paul William Alexander as we prepare to mark Founder’s Day on 8 December
- A Christmas message reminding us of generosity, renewal, and hope
As the year closes, December invites us to pause, give thanks, and strengthen our fellowship – across clubs, Regions, and Areas – as we continue our mission together.
Contributions for the next issue of YMI World are due by 15 December 2025.
Let’s keep writing this story, together.
