IP News – June 2025

Welcome to the June IP News

As we come to the close of an extraordinary YMI year, I write to you one final time as International President with deep gratitude and pride. This edition of IP News is both a farewell and a celebration – a look back on a year that began in uncertainty but became a testament to resilience, fellowship, and faith.

When I unexpectedly stepped into this role, I could not have foreseen the remarkable journey we would take together. And yet, here we are: 120 new clubs chartered, 10 new countries reached, a 10.2% surge in membership, and growing energy across the globe. From the powerful gathering in Chiang Mai to the youth-led convocation in Dubai and the historic RDE Summit in India, our movement has come alive with purpose.

We deepened ties with the YMCA, participated in global strategy conversations, and expanded our joint efforts through the Roll Back Malaria programme. We also achieved a long-awaited institutional milestone: registering YMI in Switzerland as a recognised, tax-exempt entity. And through it all, we remained united in spirit.

This edition also carries stories from across our Areas that reflect the same determination and heart I have seen everywhere this year. From local service to global partnerships, you continue to inspire.

As I pass the baton to IP Edward Ong, I know the movement is in strong hands. Mission 100 is within reach. The dream of a better world, more present than ever.

As always, I invite you to share your stories of service, success, and transformation with us. Contributions for the next issue of IP News are due by 15 June 2025Click to submit your story >>

Let’s keep rising, together. Arise & Shine!

Mr A. Shanavaskhan
International President
