51st International Council Meeting Concludes

The 51st International Council Meeting (ICM 2022), held in Aarhus, Denmark and online, has concluded today. For the first time, ICM members that could not be physically present in Denmark joined the meeting via Zoom.

This year’s ICM was unique in other ways, not least of all for it being held in parallel to the 20th YMCA World Council, a hybrid event, providing ICM participants with an unprecedented opportunity to connect with around 1,000 YMCA members and leaders from across the globe attending the in-person component of the meeting. More than 1,000 others joined the World Council online.

The World YMCA celebrated with YMI on Tuesday 5 July during a special World Council evening session devoted to the 100th anniversary of Y’s Men International , which included the installation of International President, Dr K.C. Samuel. During the evening YMI also recognised the YMCA of the USA for its unmatched local and global impact, its support for the establishment of Y’s Men International, and its ongoing leadership to make the world a better place for all.
